Niso's Story

Niso's Story

HISTORY

Beginnings and Growth

The story of Niso began in 1974 on a quiet street in Tel Aviv, where Niso Adut, a young man with a dream and a small upholstery shop, set out to make his mark. What started as a modest operation, producing furniture for passersby and local shops, quickly grew as word spread about Niso’s exceptional craftsmanship. Over the years, the shop expanded, room by room, until it became the sprawling 800-square-meter gallery it is today. This transformation from a small workshop to Israel’s largest furniture design house is a testament to Niso’s vision and the dedication of his family, who have worked alongside him every step of the way.

Family Tradition

At 79 years old, Niso still arrives at the workshop and showroom, he stays updated on every detail and happy to hear about innovations in the company. His wife, Lily, has been by his side throughout this incredible journey. Their children, Lion and Yossi, play key roles in the business, with Lion leading the showroom and design department, while Yossi manages the workshop and oversees production. Lion’s wife is also involved in the business, adding her own touch to the family enterprise. The legacy continues with Lion’s three sons, the third generation of the Adut family, who have also joined the business, bringing fresh ideas and helping to carry Niso’s timeless craftsmanship into the future.

Technology Meets Craftsmanship

At the heart of Niso’s work is Israel’s most advanced furniture design and planning department, comprising more than six product designers who are graduates of the leading design faculties. They lead special projects—from bespoke planning down to the smallest details—using the most advanced technological tools. Today, we’re proud to say that all our furniture undergoes full 3D modeling, a capability that enables us to envision, refine, and execute projects that no one else in Israel can produce. All of this is paired with handcrafted production grounded in five decades of experience. This fusion of innovation and tradition, of technology and human precision, defines our furniture. Recently, we also opened a new import department that brings to our gallery collections from complementary design worlds. We work hand in hand with architects and interior designers, accompanying them through every stage of planning and execution, and delivering tailored, meticulously crafted solutions for each project.

Unforgettable Moments

One of the most unique projects we carried out in recent years was the complete furnishing of the President’s Residence in Jerusalem. It was an inspiring national project that included the planning, design, and custom production of furniture for each room in the residence. At the project’s conclusion, President Isaac ā€œBougieā€ Herzog personally called to invite Niso and the entire Adut family for an official visit to the President’s Residence. It was an extraordinary gesture—and a moment when we felt we had been given the opportunity to represent the pinnacle of local design. Moments like these strengthen our resolve to keep creating, improving, and giving every client the same level of care, as if they were the president. For Niso, it was especially moving to see his life’s work come full circle, together with the people for whom he devoted everything.
