In the Rishon Letzion project, interior designer Michael Ohayon brings his modern vision to life – a precise blend of black and white with subtle touches that add warmth to the space. Ohayon proves that when it comes to design, even black and white can have many shades of character.
At the heart of the living room is the Duvalla R lounging sofa in a light tone, complemented by cushions that effortlessly transition between comfortable lounging and formal seating. Beside it is a Lotus armchair upholstered in black boucle fabric, adding bold contrast and strength. The dark mirror wall behind the curved sofa opens up the space, providing a sense of depth and light. The curved design continues with a pair of Flower coffee tables, upholstered in black leather with a snakeskin imprint crafted by hand, and two round Ranan ottomans in the same light fabric as the sofa, seamlessly tying the elements of the room together.
The atmosphere of the home gains an additional layer with a bronze-toned kitchen that adds warmth and complements the clean design. Ohayon has created a space that balances strength with softness, functionality with luxury, and serves as a reminder that it’s the little details that make all the difference.
“Contrast in Motion” expresses the dynamic tension in the project’s design. It combines the contrast between black and white, representing two distinct opposites, with curved lines that create a sense of flow and movement in the space. The name highlights the meeting point between minimalist rigidity and the soft motion of rounded elements – such as the sofa, armchair, ottomans, and tables.
