Some objects in a home catch the eye precisely because of the space they leave open. A slender ring, two hands, a little wood, and enough room for the wall to remain part of the picture. In Nomon’s clocks, these few lines are enough to give an entire room character. You can read the time, of course, but also pause to appreciate the proportions, the shadow cast behind them, and the way they look different from every angle.

The brand’s story began more than two decades ago, with the meeting of furniture designer José María Reina and jewellery designer Àngels Arrufat. Each brought a different way of looking at an object: one through its structure and use, the other through its details, connections, and the delicate relationships between materials. Their encounter gave rise to the idea that continues to guide Nomon today: jewellery for the home.

Handmade in Barcelona

At Nomon, the connection to Barcelona remains closely woven into the creative process. The brand’s products are made in the city, working with craftspeople and materials such as wood, marble, and metal. Woodworking, finishes, and assembly receive a level of attention that can be seen even in the smallest piece. In designs this open and airy, every joint is visible, and its precision matters.

Walnut appears throughout many of the collections, lending them the warm tone associated with the brand. Alongside it are brass, dark finishes, natural stone, and sometimes technical materials such as fibreglass. Together, they allow for slender forms that look light yet feel rich in material. The wood retains its grain and variations in colour, while the marble brings a pattern that never repeats itself exactly from one piece to the next.

Clocks That Give a Wall Character

The Barcelona clock, designed by Reina, is one of Nomon’s most recognisable models. Two slender rings surround the hands, while the open structure allows the wall itself to become the clock’s backdrop. The form is clear and precise, yet seems almost to float. Our selection includes Barcelona Premium and Mini Barcelona, which brings the same idea into more compact proportions.

Delmori expands this gesture, creating a focal point through its broad rings and walnut hands. Despite its generous scale, it retains a visual lightness that allows it to sit comfortably alongside furniture with a strong presence. At the other end of the scale are tabletop clocks such as Átomo and Mini Aire. On a bookcase, desk, or sideboard, they bring the same attention to detail within reach of an everyday glance.

Where Wood Meets Light

Nomon’s lighting continues this design language and adds another layer to it. The Onfa collection, designed by Goula Figuera studio, combines a wooden light head with a magnetic mechanism that makes it easy to direct the light. The floor version can accompany a reading chair or illuminate a work of art; in the pendant version, the slender cable and counterweight make the suspension itself part of the design.

Autumn and Tamíz, designed by Andrés Martínez, offer a soft, enveloping light. In Autumn, light is filtered through a perforated wooden shade, while Tamíz combines wood and linen. In both, the material shapes the light and the atmosphere around it. These are lamps that are easy to imagine beside a sofa, in a seating area, or in a bedroom, wherever you want to slow the pace a little.

Catay, also designed by Goula Figuera, adds table lamps and portable versions to the collection, with a wooden handle that becomes part of their silhouette. Our selection includes portable versions for both indoors and outdoors, allowing you to bring the light wherever you choose to sit. Línea Uno offers a different presence: a slender wooden body on a marble base, introducing a delicate vertical line into a corner of the room.

Furniture for the Small Moments of the Day

Nomon’s approach can also be found in the moment you get dressed in the morning or put your clothes aside at the end of the day. Galán M and Galán W, designed by Martínez, offer a contemporary interpretation of the classic valet stand, with walnut, metal details, and a marble base. Arco extends the idea into an arched clothes rack, with our selected version also incorporating a mirror and tray. These pieces give everyday belongings a dedicated place that is both useful and pleasing to the eye.

The Tocador dressing table and its accompanying pouf create a personal corner in the same rounded design language. In the entertaining area, the Bar unit and Champagnera champagne cooler make room for bottles and glasses. The Axis shelving system takes the woodwork to a more architectural scale, with solid walnut sections and shelves finished in natural walnut veneer. Here, too, the open structure allows the books and objects displayed on it to become part of the design.

The Connection to Niso Is in the Details

At Niso, shaping a home continues long after the sofa and dining table have been chosen. The lamp beside the armchair, the clock on the wall, and the piece that greets us in the bedroom all influence how we live with our furniture. Nomon finds its place in these moments, adding warm materials and a distinctive design language.

Alongside the furniture we design and manufacture in Tel Aviv, our selection of Nomon pieces opens up further possibilities for creating a complete space with a connection between its details. An open-framed clock above a sideboard, a wooden lamp beside soft upholstery, or a small bar in the dining area can add a personal layer to a home. Sometimes it is the piece you discover last that brings everything together.
